What to write on an Indian wedding card
- A blessing at the top: Ganesha with "|| Shree Ganeshay Namah ||", Ik Onkar, Bismillah or a cross, as your family prefers.
- Who is inviting: usually the groom's or the bride's family. Put that side's name first.
- The couple and their parents, e.g. "Rahul (S/o Mrs. & Mr. Anil Mehta) weds Priya (D/o Mrs. & Mr. Rajesh Sharma)".
- Every function with day, date, time and venue: haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception.
- RSVP: a family member's phone number.
